All About Indigo Child Dye-Art Studio

Indigo Child Dye-Art Studio are Central Florida based indie yarn dyers. All of our colorways are hand-dyed in the Sunshine State using ethically sourced yarns and traditional dying techniques. We specialize in Florida themed colorways, but we love experimenting with new themes and designs. We also create exclusive colorways for yarn shops on a wholesale basis and require minimum order quantities. Exclusive colorways are great because they allow you to offer unique colorways that represent your business that no other stores will have.

 

The Studio

We operate out of a large studio space that we lovingly refer to as our happy place, it is our center of inspiration and creativity with its tropical vibe and abundant natural light. Our streamlined process and ample space for drying our colorways means that we can create small batches that are ready to ship in a very short period of time. All about our fiber artists

Elle Ross

Elle has been a crocheter and knitter since December 2012, when she created her first granny squares followed by a simple crochet scarf. Over the next eight years she created countless blankets, scarves, beanies and other fun crochet projects. In the Spring of 2020, with more free time at home during the pandemic, Elle decided to expand her skill set into the wonderful world of knitting. Soon after, she began hand-dying yarn, fell in love with the process and Indigo Child Dye-Art Studio was born. Elle focuses her creative energy on variegated, speckled and assigned pooling themed yarns and  she also loves working with customers to create unique, exclusive colorways. She and her husband and fellow dye-artist, Joe, have two very talented and creative daughters. Thank you for supporting her small business and our family!

 

Joe Ross

Joe is first and foremost, an artist at heart. He has been drawing, painting and creating music from a young age and is now a seasoned abstract artist and songwriter creating dozens of paintings, drawings and original music over the years. With Indigo Child Dye-Art Studio, he brings his love of complementary color pairing, color blending transitions, gradients and experimenting with contrasting colors. He also has a background in basic web design, customer service and logistics which helps keep Indigo Child Dye-Art Studio running smoothly.
